Setting up Microsoft 365 (Outlook for Windows) - Configuration for Modern Authentication in Outlook
Note: If you already have your mailbox setup, you don't have to set it up again, but review Step 3 to see the new login prompts.
If running Outlook for the first time, it will launch the Add Account wizard immediately. If you are adding to an existing Outlook profile, click the File menu, choose "Account Settings" button, then "Account Settings" option, and click "New".

Step 1: Follow on screen instructions for entering  Your Name, Email Address, and Password and click on "Next" to advance.

Step 3: A new window pops up similar to Outlook Web Access login page, enter your NetID and password:

Step 4: Some users will need to Accept the DUO Prompt

Step 5: click on "Finish (button)" in "Add Account" You might need to restart Outlook.
