SSW - How to Sign in to MIcrosoft Teams

Instructions for how to install and log into Microsoft Teams


Installing Teams for Windows:

  1. Sign into Office 365. If you do not already have office 365 here is the link to download it and get started. https://techservices.illinois.edu/services/office-365
  2. Select the menu button and choose Teams.  
  3. Select Get the Windows app. Once Teams is downloaded, the program walks you through installation. 
  4. When prompted with the pop-up window, select save file.  
  5. Now that you’ve downloaded Teams, sign in with your Office 365 email credentials to get started. 

 Installing Teams for Mac: 

  1. Sign into Office 365. If you do not already have office 365 here is the link to download it and get started. https://techservices.illinois.edu/services/office-365
  2. Select the menu button and choose Teams.  
  3. Select Get the Mac app. Once Teams is downloaded, the program walks you through installation. 
  4. Sign in using your Office 365 credentials.  

Accessing Teams Using a Web Browser:

  1. Open your preferred web browser and search Microsoft Teams. Find Teams on the web at https://teams.microsoft.com.
  2. Sign into Microsoft Teams using your Office 365 account.
