SANDI - Prescription Food New/Change Request, Reporting and Setup Instructions

All food, with the exception of treats are setup as a prescription. Below is the spreadsheet that should be completed and emailed to his@vetmed.illionois.edu for any new, modify or inactivation requests.

Request a Food change, inactivation or new code creation

  1. Please enter food (Hills, Purina, Royal Canin, etc.) change, inactivation or new code creation information in the spreadsheet below and email it to his@vetmed.illionois.edu.
  2. HIS will complete the request(s) and reply when finished.

Lookup and/or export a list of Active and/or Inactive Food Items

To view or export a list of foods go to SANDI Reports & Queries and select Procedures Report.

1. You can view a single item by putting the code in the Procedure Search and selecting Active, Inactive or Both. 

2. You can also get a full list of Hills, Purina, or Royal Canin, instructions below

  • Leave Procedure blank
  • In Group choose one of the following from the drop-down:
    • [F2] Feed Hills (Retail)
    • [F3] Feed Purina (Retail)
    • [F6] Feed Royal Canin (Retail) 
  • Choose your desired Status
    • Active Only
    • Both (Will include both Active and Inactive codes in SANDI)
    • Inactive Only
