Software Center - General

Software Center acts as a medium for quick deployment and installation of commonly used software within a department.

This application is available to all university employees using a university-owned computer.  This is only available on Windows OS machines.

Viewing Installed and Available Software

1.  In the bottom left Windows Search bar, type in "Software Center" and open the result shown below.

Note: If you cannot find Software Center on your computer, please reach out to your IT department.

2.  Software Center will open showing the Applications tab, where all installed or ready-to-install software is shown as icons. Different computers will have different applications available, but below is an example image:

3.  Clicking on an app here will show details. It will give the option to install it or uninstall it at the top.

Note: Some software in this list is required by your IT department so it will have the uninstall button greyed out.

Below is an example of the details viewable when clicking on Adobe Photoshop from the Applications tab.

Every application shown in the Applications tab will also appear in the Installation Status tab.  Here, the status of the software is provided, as well any notification showing updates needed or updates that failed. Below is an image displaying where the Installation Status tab is located and what details can be available when viewing said tab.
