SHIELD FAQ - If a person receives a positive with the SHIELD COVID test and a negative from a nasal PCR test, which one should they trust?


The saliva test is more reliable overall from a specimen collection point compared to self-collected nasal specimens.  In other words, self-collected nasal PCR has a higher false negative rate and lower sensitivity in most studies.
