Canvas@Illinois , Dropped student has access to course space
Students who have dropped courses are not automatically removed from Canvas course sites via automatic roster uploads at the beginning of the semester due to the fact that this would also remove all records of any work completed by that student. Previously, students who dropped were categorized as "Concluded" in the course, but now, those students are "Deleted" enrollments. The move to deleting enrollments fixed a bug associated with previous enrollments still appearing in Groups, due dates on students enrolled in more than one section of a course, and Course Analytics reporting. If a student's enrollment needs to be restored after they have been deleted, a support ticket will need to be submitted to the Technology Services Help Desk at firstname.lastname@example.org or 217-244-7000.
