How to display PDFs in Recent Items List
This article will how to correct the behavior of pdfs no longer showing up in Outlook when you wish to add them as attachments from the Recent Items list
To enable PDFs to show in the Recent Items list of Outlook please follow the steps below:
- Right-click on your desktop and click Personalize on the context menu or click the Start Button and type Settings and then click Personalization.
- On the left navigation click Start.
- Make sure to enable "Show recently opened items in Jump Lists on Start or the taskbar".
- Restart your Outlook, and then open a PDF file to test this change. After opening the PDF, in Outlook click New Email -> Attach File to view the Recent Items list.
