UIUC AnyWare, Logoff / Disconnect Session
This article summarizes how to sign out of AnyWare and Citrix, Desktop and Application sessions
Sign out of Session
When finished with your session, please log off or sign out of your session. This will help avoid future connection issues.
Desktop Session lengths
Your session will remain open as long as you are actively using your desktop.
If your session is idle for 2 hours or if you are running calculations longer than 2 hours without additional activity, you will be automatically disconnected from your session and logged out 10 minutes after disconnecting.

How to sign out of AnyWare Browser session

While utilizing the General Purpose Desktop or the Graphics Enabled Desktop, you will find a menu at the top center of the screen.
Selecting the menu will display additional options.

- Log Off will log off your session

Ctrl-Alt-Del will allow you to launch Task Manager

Preferences opens up the session Preferences menu offering options related to your UIUC AnyWare sessions.

Disconnect is not the same as Log Off. Choosing Disconnect disconnects your active session but does not immediately log you out. When finished, choose Log Off to help avoid future connection issues. (see Sign Out and Desktop Session lengths above)
How to sign out of AnyWare Desktop session
Sign out of Desktop session
When you are finished with your session, it is important to logout of the desktop.
1. Right-click the Start Menu > choose "Shut down or sign out" > choose "Sign out"
- Disconnect is not the same as Sign Out. Choosing Disconnect disconnects your active session but does not immediately log you out. When finished, choose Sign Out to help avoid future connection issues. (see Sign Out and Desktop Session lengths above)
