SANDI - Charges Report

View all charges (inpatient/outpatient), payments, adjustments, discounts, and taxes within the report.

Access the Charges Report in one of four ways:

From the Patient Dashboard:

    1. Select the icon next to the Client edit button.
    2. Select the drop-down arrow on the Client Information Box select the drop-down next to Client, and choose Charges Report.
    3. Within the Charges screen select the Client Charges Report, orange button.
    4. Go to Reports & Queries and select Client Charges Report.

Charges Report Overview

The Charges Report lists ALL charges, payments, adjustments, discounts, taxes, etc. for ALL patients by default.

 When selected, the Charges Report displays the following information range upon entry:

  • NO open Visit: If there is no open visit, it will display the charges for the last 6 months for all patients, and the user can change the dates as desired.
  • Open visit: If there is an open visit, all charges, discounts, payments, etc. it will be displayed from the date the visit was opened to the current date.

    To display a certain time frame, select your range of dates and Submit

    Note: If you leave the Patient selection box empty, ALL patients will be included, or you can select a single patient.

    Actions

    New information details have been added to the Actions "eyeball" option. The type of adjustment, payment, and/or charge description will be displayed in the top bar.

    Reference Field: This field is completed at the time of payment and represents the client's check number, last 4 digits of a credit card, etc.

    Printing the Charges Report 

    ALL Patients:

    • Select Print, and the statement of charges will display as shown below.

    Specific Patient (Display charges ONLY for a certain patient):

    VERY IMPORTANT: The report will NOT show payments, adjustments, etc, because they are attributed to the client, NOT the patient.

    1. Select the date range 
    2. Select the patient and Submit, and it will display charges for that patient only. (Gunner in our example below).

     3. Select Print to print the report for the selected Patient ONLY.

    IMPORTANT NOTE: In the example below, all charges for ONLY Gunner are listed. It does not display the client payments, adjustments, etc. It only displays Gunners’ charges, even though the header says "charges, payments, and adjustments."

    • This feature can be leveraged if required by a pet insurance company; you may need to alter to/from dates to show the starting balance of zero.

    Printing Group by Patient

    Select the Group by Patient check box and Submit. The report will display the charges grouped. (You can print this out also.)
