Bursar Cash Handling Level I: Cash Handling Fundamentals

This course provides an introduction to fundamental cash handling topics, policies and recommended practices. The topics covered in this course include cash handling, the segregation of duties process, receiving payments, depositing funds, and what to do in case of a robbery.

This is a standalone course and is required for all frontline cash staff to complete initially upon beginning their cash handling duties. This course is also the first course in the Cash Handling Certificate Track for those taking the full certificate track. There will be a graded assessment at the end of the course, and you must pass the assessment with a minimum score of 80% to receive the Cash Handling Fundamentals Certificate.
