Zoom: Using Zoom on Dual Monitors
This page is a guide for managing the "Using dual monitors" feature in Zoom.
If you are experiencing difficulties when using Zoom on multiple monitors, you may not have the right setting on. Zoom has an optional setting called "Use dual monitors" that can split the Zoom display across two monitor screens. With this setting, you can share your screen on one monitor while viewing the meeting participants and meeting controls on the other. The setting will have no effect if used on a computer with only one monitor.
Please note that this setting cannot be changed in the browser.
To turn this setting on or off outside of a meeting
- Open your Zoom desktop application and click the gear icon in the top right corner. This will open your Settings menu.
- Click General on the left side menu and check the box next for "Use dual monitors."
To turn this setting on or off while in a meeting
- Click the green shield icon in the top right corner and then clicking the gear icon in the upper-right corner of the window that opens.
- Click General on the left side menu and check the box next for "Use dual monitors."
Note: Sometimes using PowerPoint with Zoom while using a dual monitor set up can make your Zoom windows disappear. If this happens, press Alt+Tab on Windows or Command+Tab on Mac to cycle through your open programs until Zoom shows up again.
