iSchool Rooms: Conference Room Hybrid Audio

Guide to setting up hybrid audio in the conference rooms.

Conference Room Hybrid Audio

  1. Log into the Zoom meeting using the built-in computer.

  2. Click the carat next to the audio symbol on the lower left.

    1. To use the built-in room microphones (best option in most rooms, and certainly for group discussion), set the microphone and speaker to ClearOne Converge Pro 2 128VTD USB Audio.

      Sound dropdown menu

    2. To use another microphone (e.g. a lapel mic in the Multi-Purpose Room - a better option for a speaker), set the microphone to the desired microphone and the speaker to ClearOne Converge Pro 2 128VTD USB Audio.

  3. Confirm with participants that they can hear and be heard.

  4. Make sure that any participants who are in the room and joining the Zoom meeting via laptop have muted themselves in Zoom and have turned off their computer volume to prevent feedback and echos.
