How to Screenshare on Zoom

  1. The host and participants (if given permission from host) can share their screen by clicking the Share button in the meeting controls.

  2. Choose the screen you want to share. You can choose an individual application that is open on your computer, the desktop, a whiteboard, or an iPhone/iPad.
  3. (Optional) Enable these features:

    1. Check Share sound: Any sound played by your computer will be shared in the meeting.

    2. Check Optimize for video clip: Check this if you will be sharing a video in full-screen mode. Do not check otherwise, as it could make the shared screen blurry.

  4. Click Share.

Share Screen Menu

When you start sharing your screen, the meeting controls will move into a menu that you can drag around your screen.

From here you can:

  • Mute/Unmute your microphone

  • Start/Stop Video

  • Security: Use this to edit settings while in meeting like enabling screenshare, annotation, and renaming.

  • View or manage the Participants (if you are the host)

  • Chat

  • Polls (if you are the host)

  • Start a new Screen Share. You will be prompted to choose which screen you want to share again

  • Pause your shared screen

  • Display tools to Annotate your screen

  • Remote Control

  • And More!
