Follow this guide to configure the MECM console.Systems

Intended Audience
University of Illinois IT Pros leveraging MECM, hosted by Technology Services' Endpoint Services team
Configure the MECM console
- The latest console can be found at \\ad.uillinois.edu\sccm\SharedContent\ImportShare\Applications\Microsoft\MECM\MECM Console - select the folder with the highest version number
- Run ConsoleSetup.exe
- If the executable doesn't launch on your endpoint, run AdminConsole.msi instead.
- If the executable doesn't launch on your endpoint, run AdminConsole.msi instead.
- When prompted for the Site server, input sccmcas.ad.uillinois.edu
- Click through the rest of the installer, then launch the 'Configuration Manager Console' app
- If you use a separate account for console access (e.g. a superuser account):
- press Shift and right-click on the Console's shortcut and select 'Run as different user'
- Or, log into the endpoint with the separate account and launch the console
- If the console displays the error 'Configuration Manager cannot connect to the site (sccmcas.ad.uillinois.edu)':
- Confirm you are using the correct account that has permissions to launch the console
- Review any errors in the SMSAdminUI.log file located in %ProgramFiles(x86)%\Microsoft Configuration Manager\AdminConsole\AdminUILog
