Zoom: Zoom Timer

A short explanation of the Zoom Timer feature and how to access it.

Zoom recently added a Zoom timer app that can help time presentations, manage meeting lengths, and more. This article will go over how to access the Timer app in Zoom's settings and its different features.

Accessing Zoom Timer

  1. Open Zoom Settings using either the app or the desktop.

  2. In the "General" tab in settings, find the setting "Show meeting timers" and turn it on by checking the box.

Zoom Timer Settings

  1. The Zoom Timer has two different options. The Zoom Timer allows you to customize a timer. Zoom includes several pre-made time settings. You can also customize how long a timer goes for by selecting the hour, minute, and/or second options.

  2. You can customize the sound the timer makes by selecting the "Default" option in the bottom left corner of the timer. You can also use the "Show timer to all" toggle in the bottom right corner of the screen if you would like to hide the timer from others in the meeting.

  3. You can also use the Zoom Stopwatch feature if you just need to keep track of how long a meeting or session has gone on for. Similar to the Timer, Stopwatch allows you to use the "Show stopwatch to all" toggle in the bottom right corner of the screen if you would like to hide the stopwatch from other participants.
