ATLAS Salary Planner Assistant - Updating a Department's Allocations

A tutorial on how to update the dollar amount allocations of a department within the Salary Planner Assistant application.

Step 1 - From the Salary Group Admin Home, click the View Period button next to your desired planning period.

Step 2 - Locate the department you wish to update, and navigate to its Allocations column.

Step 3 - Within the Allocations column, you will have three different categories of dollar amount allocations to modify for the department: Merit, CMER, and CMER NTFC. CMER and CMER NTFC are completely distinct values to one another in this case. To change the allocated amount for a category, simply change the number in that category's text box.

Changing the number for any category will also update the corresponding category in the Allocation Amount Remaining column. The amounts in this column are calculated based on how much money from each category is currently distributed on the department's salary plan.

It's important to note here that the allocations are just a visual indicator and do not stop a department from going over those amounts.

If a category's allocation is changed to be lower than the amount currently distributed for that category on the salary plan, that category will show a negative number and be outlined with a red border in the Allocation Amount Remaining column.

Step 4 - When you are finished making updates to the department's allocations, click the Save button in the bottom-right corner of the page to save your changes.

Your new allocation amounts will display here on the planning period's page, as well as on the department's salary plan, inside the Available Funds section.
