CMS - MyBenefits Enrollment Steps

This article provides step-by-step instructions on how to register for benefits on the CMS MyBenefits Website.

Registering for Benefits

  1. Navigate to MyBenefits Login.
  2. Select the Login button. This will take you to the Login page.
  3. Select the Register button that is located next to the text “Logging in for the first time?”. This will take you to the registration page.
  4. Complete the following fields:
    1. Last 4 Digits of SSN (9999)
    2. Date of birth (mm/dd/yyyy)
    3. Last Name
      NOTE:
      If you have more than one last name include a hyphen between them.
    4. First two letters of First name
    5. Mailing Zip Code (99999)
      NOTE:
      Use the zipcode that was listed on your demographic form, even if it has changed.
  5. Select the “I’m not a robot” check box.
  6. Select Continue. This will take you to the CMS Password Setup page.
  7. Enter a password in the Password field.
    NOTE: Review the password requirements listed above the Password field.
  8. Reenter your password in the Confirm Password field.
  9. Select Continue. This will take you to the CMS Login Code page.
  10. Select the Show Login Code button. This will display your Employee Login ID.
  11. Make a note of your Login ID for future use when logging into CMS MyBenefits website.
  12. Select Continue. This will take you to the Select Your Challenge Questions page.
  13. Choose a question from the Question 1 dropdown list.
  14. In the answer field below question 1, enter the answer to question 1.
  15. Repeat steps 13 & 14 for Question 2 and Question 3.
  16. Select Continue. This will take you to the Confirm Challenge Questions page.
  17. Review the challenge questions and their answers. If they are correct, select Continue. This will take you to the Challenge Questions Saved page. If they are incorrect, select Back to edit them on the previous page.
  18. Select Continue. This will take you to the Disclaimer page.
  19. Review the text of the disclaimer and select the I ACCEPT checkbox.
  20. Select Continue. This will take you to the Disclaimer accepted page.
  21. Select Continue. This will take you to the Registration successful page.
  22. Optional: Select Show Login Code to see your login code again.
  23. Select Continue to return to the Enrollment page. You will see your Enrollment page.
