Web Intelligence Rich Client - (CS) ConfigManager not yet initialized Error
The following steps will resolve the CS ConfigManager error in Web Intelligence Rich Client.
Error Message Text:
The following database error occurred: (CS) "ConfigManager not yet initialized" . For information about this error, please refer to SAP Knowledge Base Article 2054721 on the SAP Support Portal. (IES 10901)
Steps to resolve issue:
- Close the Web Intelligence Rich Client.
- Open a File Explorer window and navigate to C:\Users\[User’s NetID]\AppData\Roaming\SAP BusinessObjects\SAP BusinessObjects Enterprise XI 4.0\Universes.1
- Delete the @EDDIE folder.
- Navigate to C:\Users\[User’s NetID]\Documents\My SAP BusinessObjects Documents\LocData.2
- Delete all of the .lsi, .extranet, and .intranet files
- Log into EDDIE.
- Click the blue, circle icon with your initials in the upper right and select Settings.
- Click Application Preferences, and make sure the option for ‘Open in Edit mode’ is set to Rich Client.
- Click Save.
- Scroll down and click the Web Intelligence tile.
- When the Rich Client opens, go ahead and close it.
- Relaunch the Rich Client from your desktop.
Notes:
- If the AppData folder does not show up in File Explorer, click the View tab in the toolbar at the top and select Show Hidden Items.
- If the folder referenced in Step 4, above, does not exist, try looking in OneDrive: C:\Users\[User's NetID]\OneDrive - University of Illinois - Urbana\Documents\My SAP BusinessObjects Documents\LocData.
