If MATLAB is already installed on a computer that uses the MATLAB Network license manager, you can convert from using the network license to the Individual license (SSO) by removing the network license file.

On the computer where MATLAB is installed search for network.lic.

(You can search using the Windows Search bar or by using Spotlight on a Mac computer.)

Then rename the file to network.old. The next time you launch MATLAB it will ask you to sign in. Enter your UI email address and you will be directed to your campus' authentication page.

Once you sign in MATLAB will be licensed and no longer require connection to the network license manager.
