ICS, Software Installation Policy for ICS-Supported Labs and Illinois AnyWare

Software Requests

The requesting department or college must provide the software and valid licensing to ICS.

Installation requests must be submitted at least two weeks in advance. To help us serve you better, please submit requests as early as possible.

Requestors are responsible for testing the software no later than three business days before use to confirm it functions properly in the lab environment.

Software Availability

Software is guaranteed to be available only for the semester in which it is requested.

Class-related software installations will remain on ICS-supported workstations during the Fall and Spring semesters. However, software may be removed during the summer unless it is explicitly required for a summer course.
Usage Guildlines

ICS-supported labs and systems are provided as an instructional resource.

Due to the terms of many software license agreements, ICS computers may not be used for research purposes.
