iSchool Classroom, LIS 53

Room 53 is a classroom in the basement of 501 E. Daniel St. It can host hybrid and in-person classes.

Room Documentation

Using the TV Displays

    • Instead of a projector and screen, this room has 2 large TV displays in the front and back and 6 smaller TV displays on the sides for student / collaborative use.

Using the Control Panel

    • The control panel is located inside the black metal cage mounted on top of the desk in the room. It is a silver box with three labeled buttons. The cage is unlocked, just open it and use the buttons to select between your input source. 

Using the Built-in Computer

    • For hybrid or in-person use: this will allow you to use the room's projector, speakers, camera, and microphone.
    • This room has is a dual-boot Mac Mini that can load either Mac or Windows. Restart the computer if you do not see the option to choose and wish to switch what is currently selected.

Using the HDMI for Laptops

    • For in-person use only: this will allow you to use the room's projector and speakers.

Using Wireless Content Sharing

    • For in-person use only: Apple devices that cannot connect directly by HDMI or USB-C have AirPlay wireless content sharing available.
