Regulated Research, How to Connect to a Virtual Machine in the Regulated Research Enclave
In order to connect to a Virtual Machine hosted by the Regulated Research Enclave, you have to follow the attached steps for the operating system of the machine you will be using to access the VM.
Windows
- First you must install the Windows App. You can do so from the Microsoft Store at this link: https://apps.microsoft.com/detail/9N1F85V9T8BN?hl=en-us&gl=US&ocid=pdpshare

- Once installed, launch the Windows App

- Select sign in and enter your Enclave credentials, providing MFA as needed. You will then be brought to the resources page

- To launch a Virtual Machine, select the Connect icon on the resource in the image above and wait for the connection to commence
MacOS
Download the Windows App from the Mac App store: https://apps.apple.com/us/app/windows-app/id1295203466?mt=12

Once you have installed the Windows app and opened it, press the plus key in the top right and hit “Add a workspace”

In the dialog box that opens, enter the following url: https://rdweb.wvd.azure.us/api/arm/feeddiscovery

Then press Done and authenticate with your Enclave credentials

If you are prompted Yes/No whether you want to allow the machine to connect using your account, select yes
You should then be brought to the device home screen that looks something like this:

To open a machine, double-click its box and then pay attention to the status box that opens. The machine will open in a new Window.
