Printing: iSchool Kiosk Printing
This article is intended to help patrons who are unfamiliar with the printing process using the iSchool Printing Kiosks. The instructions walk you through the different procedures and expectations when using the kiosk to print. The kiosk method of printing is usually a very seamless and simple way to print your documents. These printers prints 8 1/2x11 and 11x17 paper.
Steps for printing from an iSchool Kiosk
- Walk up to the monitor next to the printer, and it will prompt you to log in with your NetID and Password.
- Once logged in, you will want to retrieve the intended print job. The print job can be accessed through a Microsoft account, a Google account, university webmail, or flash drive. To activate the print function, you'll need to press the Command key (⌘) + P. (Note: the command key looks like the Windows logo on the Kiosk's keyboard.)
-
Once your print job opens in the printer window, select the correct printer (for this example, it is SIS-Luna, but you should select whichever kiosk printer you are using). When the correct printer is selected, adjust any other printing settings to your desired specifications.
- Click the blue Print button which will prompt a pop-up window titled "Print Job Notification." Confirm that your print job details are correct.

- Next, you will need to choose the type of account to charge, which is in the box titled "Print job actions." Faculty and staff can skip forward to Step 7 and click Print at this point, ignoring the Print job actions.
- Note: Students of the iSchool are awarded a free printing quota depending on your academic level (see Printing Cost, Quota, and Printing Directly from PaperCut for quotas and printing cost)
- Chose the account option that applies to you. Most students will typically chose the Charge to my Personal Account option.
- Charge to my personal account: The Print job will be charged to your Papercut account/printing quota.
- Charge to shared account: If you have a shared account, possibly a course-related print credit, this option will allow you to select which account to use.
- Charge to shared account using PIN/Code: This option is similar to the one above but requires you to manually enter a PIN or code.
- Click the blue Print button once more to send your job to the printer.
- Your print job is now complete!
