Skype for Business, Changes to a Phone Number (Creation, Calling Policy, Service Type)

How do I make changes to my Skype for Business phone number? Who can change my calling policy in Skype for Business? Why didn't I get activated on Skype for Business? I should have more than campus dialing on Skype for Business.

Requests for changes to Skype for Business phone numbers, activation, status, Skype for Business service type, or calling policy should be directed to a local Pinnacle Department Manager (formerly known as Telecom Unit Coordinators or TUCs). No Skype for Business account changes, creates, or deletions can be made without a Service Request from a Pinnacle Department Manager via Pinnacle. Every campus unit has at least one PDM, but could also have more than one.

The Pinnacle Department Managers makes decisions on which personnel get Skype for Business accounts and also which personnel get certain calling privileges.

There are two main levels of Skype for Business (also called Unified Communications) service:

VoIP (previously called Enterprise Voice):

This allows for Skype to Skype connections, but also outside phone dialing, and Voicemail. Instant messaging is enabled on this service.
There are levels of dialing policies based on local, toll, long-distance, international, etc. based on previous dialing plans. For more information on the dialing policies, please view Skype for Business, Dialing Terms of Service and NCOS Codes.

VoIP-to-VoIP (previously Skype-to-Skype or PC-to-PC):

This service only allows for internal Skype for Business phone calls and instant messaging. There will be no dialing pad or way to call off-campus numbers. This service does not include a campus phone number or voicemail.
