Enterprise Data Warehouse (EDW) Access - Oracle Client Error
Attempting to connect to the Enterprise Data Warehouse (EDW) using an ODBC connection with the Oracle client, and I'm receiving an error.
The University of Illinois recommends configuring the Oracle client to use the LDAP option for database discovery. Otherwise the client may not successfully connect to the database.
To resolve this error and re-establish a connection to the Data Warehouse, you must take the following action:
- Upgrade your Oracle client, following the instructions posted here: Supported Oracle Clients for AITS Databases
- Make sure to copy the SQLNET.ORA and LDAP.ORA files as described in the instructions.
