UI New Hire, New Accounts for campus services

When you receive a campus email (Exchange) account and Teams (telephone, conferencing, etc).

Automated Processes for New Hire Account Activation

1. Technology Services at the University of Illinois has detected that you are eligible for an Office 365 Exchange Online email account. Faculty, staff, and graduate students are required to use email in Office 365, the campus-wide service for email, calendaring, and contact and task management for University communications. Your Office 365 mailbox has been auto-created for you and any email sent to your NetID@illinois.edu address will now begin to redirect to your Office 365 mailbox. It may take about 2 hours after going through UI New Hire or NetID claim before your mailbox is ready for use. You can access your mailbox at https://outlook.office.com or using email clients and mobile devices.
2. Please take note of the Technology Services Help Desk contact information in the Contact Us section of this article for future reference.

* The Federal Communications Commission, through the Code of Federal Regulations (CFR), requires the University to obtain and keep a record of affirmative acknowledgment by every Teams customer (also called Unified Communications or UC users), both new and existing, of having received and understood the advisory statement provided on the E911 Acknowledgment page. It is required that Teams users read the advisory statement about E911 and Teams (also called Unified Communications or UC) and acknowledge that they have read the statement. Technology Services can not provide Teams phone service for a customer until the customer completes the E911 Acknowledgment Form.
