If you find that you have coded the wrong answer in a quiz (or want to add additional correct answers to a question), you can change the correct answer and regrade all attempts. There are two steps: changing the answer and regrading the quiz.
Note: "Drag and drop" and "select missing words" questions cannot be regraded. Grades that have been manually overridden cannot be regraded.
Note: Grades that have been manually overridden appear with a light orange background in the Grader report.
Step 1: Change the Answer
Via Question bank
- In the navigation menu at the top, click More.
- From the drop-down menu, click Question bank.
- In the "Select a category" drop-down menu at the top of the page, select the category the question is located in.
- In the question row, click Edit.
- Re-code the question, setting the newly correct answers to 100% credit.
- Click Save changes.
Via quiz
- Click on the quiz activity.
- In the navigation menu at the top, click Questions.
- In the question row, click the Edit gear icon.
- Re-code the question, setting the newly correct answers to 100% credit.
Note: In some cases, you may want to give credit to anyone answering the question regardless of whether the answer was correct or not. In this case, code all answers to grant points and move on to Step 2 (Regrade the Quiz). Then, repeat Step 1, coding only the correct answer to grant points. Don't repeat Step 2. This way the answers will be coded properly the next time the question is used. - Click Save changes.
Step 2: Regrade the Quiz
Once you have edited your answer key in the question, you will want to regrade your quiz. If the question appears in multiple quizzes, you will need to do this for each quiz.- Click on the quiz you want to regrade.
- In the navigation menu at the top, click Results.
- Click the Regrade all button.
- Once it is done, you will get a completion page. Click the Continue button.
Note: Depending on your class size, this can take some time to load. - All scores will be updated according to the new answer key except those that have been manually overridden.
