Endpoint Services, MECM, How should I request that the service add specific software?

Overview

How can I get the MECM service to offer specific software?

Systems

Microsoft Endpoint Configuration Manager (MECM)

Intended Audience

University of Illinois IT Pros leveraging MECM, hosted by Technology Services' Endpoint Services team

General Information

Users should contact their IT Pros with the applications they want to see added to the Software Center.

If the application is either free or WebStore provided content, IT Pros should first check the "Managed Applications" area of the MECM console to see if the application is already packaged and ready to be deployed. If not, the IT Pro can request the application to be packaged. Custom or unit-specific content should be packaged by the IT Pros where possible. Endpoint Services or the community can be reached for assistance.

Please note: software titles containing terms or conditions for using the software will likely need to have the terms approved by the University of Illinois Purchasing and Contract Management Office before being added to the MECM service. This process can take over a month to complete.
