Digital Signage, Users, Groups, and Setting Permissions

This article provides information about how access and rights can be set within the Digital Signage Services environment.
There are two types of permissions used in Korbyt Anywhere - User Roles and User Groups. User Roles grant a user access to different features and abilities in the system, while User Groups are used to control what a user can see. These apply to locations, content, layouts, and playlists.

Read-Only

The read-only role allows a user to preview player content, layouts, playlists, and view reports.

Authors

Authors have all of the same preview abilities as the Read-Only role.

Authors can also import, edit, and filter content; create, edit and save layouts.

Approvers

Approvers have all of the same preview, creation, and edit abilities as the Author role.

Approvers can also delete content, publish layouts, and add, edit, and save playlists.

Administrators

Administrators have all of the same preview, creation, publishing, and deletion abilities as the Approver role.

Administrators can also provision and edit layers; create and edit player groups; bulk delete content; delete layouts; and create/edit data integration adapters.

A breakdown of actions performed by the Signage CMS User Role are found at Korbyt Content Manager Roles and Permissions
