The official mobile app of the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. Available through the Play or App store. Whether you're a student, a fan of Illini Athletics or just visiting campus, the Illinois App brings the University of Illinois to life at your fingertips. This early access release of the app features information about campus events, Illini sports and a number of resources for students including dining hall menus and available laundry services.

What is Rokwire?

Rokwire is an open source mobile software platform developed by Smart, Healthy Communities, an interdisciplinary initiative based at the University of Illinois in Urbana-Champaign. We are specialists in science and computing, design and the humanities. Together, we're working to realize the promise of the information age: Not just better tools, but a better world.


On the Rokwire platform a collection of data handling services can be deployed through a variety of interfaces on mobile devices. Two mobile apps in use at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign campus are Safer Illinois and Illinois

Safer Illinois

Safer Illinois was COVID-19 pandemic resources to support testing, exposure notification, building access status. It was discontinued as of January 3rd, 2022.
