Desktops and Laptops - Windows - Restart Prompt from "Your IT department"

From time to time, IT will push new software or updates to existing software. When it's ready to install, you will see a notification. See details below for what to do.

When software is ready to install or update remotely, you will see a notification in the lower-right corner

1. Click the notification

2. In the Software Center window, you will have the option to restart "Right now (recommended)" or to restart "Outside my business hours" which means after 5pm.

3. (Optional) You can click "Configure my business hours" to extend the window to later in the evening to avoid disrupting last-minute work.

4. Once you have made your selection, click "OK"

Your computer will restart at the designated time.
