Start Early:

Reserve at least 2–4 weeks in advance. These room can get especially during peak times during the fall and spring semesters.

Reserve the room for the day you plan to do your defense.

Reserve the room a few hours before your defense.

Reserve the room for additional day(s) (as many as you need to get comfortable) prior to do a dry run through to get acquainted with the room and it's A/V equipment.

Choose the Right Room

Ensure the room is equipped with A/V technology (projector, microphones, Zoom capabilities, etc.).
- Consider room size based on expected attendance (committee, guests, remote participants).
- Look for accessibility features if needed.
