Chez Veterans Center Conference Room AV Instructions

The Chez Veterans Center conference room (Rm 1011) is equipped with a 75" flat panel display (TV), resident PC, video conference camera/speaker/microphone bar. Detailed instructions are provided for system use, and contact information is provided for further assistance.

Faculty, staff, and students can request AV setup or training by submitting a ticket to the IT Partners @ AHS Helpdesk at helpdesk@ahs.illinois.edu.

Equipment in this Conference Room

  •     Resident Windows PC with wireless keyboard and mouse provided by IT Partners @ AHS
  •     75" flat panel display
  •     Logitech Rally Bar and Sight camera/microphone/speaker system
  •     Table-top control panel for display power and source selection, including cables for connection to user-provided laptop

Turning the System On, selecting source

  1. Turn on the flat panel display (TV) using the table-top control panel "Display ON" button. 
  2. To use the Resident PC
    • Select PC on table-top control panel. The display will be connected to the Installed (Resident) PC by default (unless a laptop is connected to the table-top HDMI cable.)
    • Ensure that the computer, wireless mouse, and keyboard are all turned on.  Move the mouse to activate the pc.  If it does not display the Windows splash screen with time and date, check that PC is turned on (right hand cabinet, in rack).
    • Log in with your NetID and password. Remember to log off when done.
    • The "Rally Bar" camera/microphone/speaker system is always available for video conferencing (Teams, Zoom, etc.) when using the resident PC. Audio input and output settings should indicate "Logi Rally Bar Audio."  Camera will automatically pan/tilt/zoom to accommodate participants in the room.  Do not touch the camera. Microphones may be muted by pressing the button in the center of either one.  The center circle will turn red when muted. If you have special camera control requirements, please ask for assistance.
  3. To use a Laptop
    • Connect your laptop using both the HDMI and USB-C cables at the table. (USB-C only required for camera and audio)
    • Select LAPTOP on the table-top control panel.
    • The USB-C cable provides access to the "Rally Bar" camera/microphone/speaker system in the room.  Audio input and output settings should indicate "Logi Rally Bar Audio," and camera should be set to "Logi Rally Bar." Audio levels are controlled by your laptop.  Camera will automatically pan/tilt/zoom to accommodate participants in the room.  Do not touch the camera. Microphones may be muted by pressing the button in the center of either one.  The center circle will turn red when muted. If you have special camera control requirements, please ask for assistance.

Turning the system off

  1. If resident PC was used, log off the computer, but please do not shut down.
  2. If a laptop was used, disconnect the HDMI and USB-C cables.
  3. Press the "DISPLAY OFF" button on the table-top control panel.
