Email message to AHS Faculty and Staff Introducing New Transition to a newly secured Intranet & Windows 10 End of Support reminder
Introducing a Newly Secured AHS Intranet
IT Partners @ AHS is pleased to introduce the newly secured AHS Faculty and Staff Intranet.
We have transitioned from a public-facing website to a centralized platform with restricted access to essential AHS resources, including contact information, office and unit details, facilities information, the Dean’s List, and additional materials relevant to our community.
While the layout and functionality will feel familiar, access is now restricted exclusively to AHS faculty and staff with university credentials. We invite you to explore and let us know if anything needs to be updated by contacting web@ahs.illinois.edu
Windows 10 End of Support - Immediate Action Required
As part of our ongoing commitment to protecting university systems and safeguarding institutional data, we want to remind everyone that Microsoft officially ended support for Windows 10 in October 2025. This means the operating system will no longer receive security updates, leaving devices increasingly vulnerable to threats.
To maintain a secure and compliant technology environment, it is critical that all AHS-managed devices transition to Windows 11 as soon as possible. Please prioritize this upgrade and work closely with IT Partners @ AHS to ensure a smooth and timely transition. Your cooperation is essential to upholding the security standards expected across the university.
We would also like to extend our sincere appreciation for your support during the recent cybersecurity CrowdStrike deployment. Your responsiveness and collaboration were key to strengthening our overall security posture.
Thank you for your continued partnership and attention to this important matter. We will continue to reach out individually to those faculty and staff who have not yet upgraded their devices to Windows 11.
