This system has a 70" wall-mounted video display, resident PC and an HDMI cable input for a user laptop.  Room microphone and camera are available only on resident PC.

SYSTEM START-UP

• Press ON button on console (on top of AV cabinet) to start the AV system and and wall video display.

For Laptop use, connect using the HDMI cable on the lower front wall.

• Press LAPTOP HDMI button on console.
• When your meeting is finished, please press OFF button on console to shut down AV system and wall display.

For Resident PC use:

• Press PC button on console.
• Log on to the resident computer with your NetID and campus password, using the wireless keyboard and mouse.

FIRST LOGON? FOLLOW THESE STEPS to configure sound settings and default applications:

• Your first logon to any computer takes a few seconds longer than subsequent logons.
• In the “system tray” on the lower right-hand corner of the screen, right-click on the speaker/volume icon and choose Open Sound Settings. Windows Sound Images
  • For Output device, select ExtronScalerD (AMD High Definition Audio Device). Windows Sound Image 2
  • For Input device, select Echo Cancelling Speakerphone (EasyUSB Mixer/Amp).  Close sound settings with x in upper right corner. Windows Sound Image 3
• Click Windows Start button and type Default Apps (then select it) to change default Web browser and media player.

ZOOM ISSUES?

• Always choose “SSO” for Zoom desktop login in order to use your UIUC credentials.

  • Click “^” next to the “Mute” button in the lower Zoom menu.
  • Under “Select a microphone” click Echo Cancelling Speakerphone (EasyUSB Mixer/Amp). Zoom Audio Image 1
  • Under “Select a speaker” click ExtronScalerD (AMD High Definition Audio Device). Zoom Audio Image 2
  • If you already set audio devices in the Windows Sound Settings, then you may choose “Same as System” for Microphone and Speaker, confirming that the device names are correct.
• Zoom Camera issues?
  • Click “Start Video” in the lower Zoom menu.
  • Click “^” next to “Stop Video” and select HuddleCamHD.
  • The available handheld remote control has arrow buttons for up/down/left/right for pan and tilt, and rocker buttons for Zoom Fast and Zoom Slow.

MICROSOFT TEAMS ISSUES?

Ensure that audio devices are properly set: Teams Audio Images

• • Click “…” beside your profile icon at the top of the Teams window, select Settings, then Devices. Teams Audio Image 1
  • Speaker should be set to “ExtronScalerD (AMD High definition Audio Device).” Teams Audio Image 2
  • Microphone should be set to “Echo Cancelling Speakerphone (EasyUSB Mixer/Amp)” Teams Audio Image 3
• Camera should be set to HuddleCamHD
  • The available handheld remote control has arrow buttons for up/down/left/right for pan and tilt, and rocker buttons for Zoom Fast and Zoom Slow.

SYSTEM SHUT DOWN – Please sign off of Windows and shut down AV system when your meeting is finished.

• Sign out by pressing Ctrl + Alt + Delete then choose “Sign out”.
• Press OFF button on the console to shut down the AV system and wall display.
• Do not leave the system on Mute.
• Please leave the computer ON (just signed off).

TROUBLESHOOTING

If the computer is not powered on, press the power button on the computer’s front panel. The computer is located at the very bottom of the equipment rack.  Please do not change any other settings or power on other devices in the rack.
