How to acquire an A5 License from the Webstore
This article shows the step-by-step process of acquiring an A5 license for an employee who needs long-distance calling ability in their Teams app.
- Navigate to the UIUC Webstore
- Select from the left sidebar "Log in: You are a guest" to proceed with your Illinois Log In
- Select this link for the Microsoft M365 A5 for Staff Unit Use UIUC or type in "A5" within the search bar
- Select Add to Cart
- Select I agree with the Unit Purchase End User License Agreement (EULA)
- Select Check Out
- Enter the unit C-FOAPAL details at the bottom of the checkout page
- Activity and Location are optional and can be left blank
- Activity and Location are optional and can be left blank
- Select Submit Order
- As instructed on the confirmation page, please navigate to the WebStore Microsoft Named User License Request form
- Enter Purchaser's NetID
- The same netID used to login to the Webstore
- Enter Webstore Order Number
- This can be copy-pasted from the title of your recent purchase and can be revisited in your Order History
- Enter the full email address of the employee receiving the A5 license
- Is this a renewal?
- For a first purchase, no; this can be left blank.
- When the A5 license expires and requires renewal, please answer this question with a yes.
- Check the first option, "M365 A5 for Faculty/Staff"
- Leave this optional field blank.
- Select Submit Form
- Enter Purchaser's NetID
- Please leave a Comment on the ticket (usually the New Extension Employee form ticket) or email extensionIT-help@illinois.edu when you have completed these steps. When the A5 license is applied, the team will be able to submit the employee for long-distance call ability.
