You may need to know what version of Windows 10 your computer is running. The only versions of the Windows 10 operating system (OS) still supported and safe are 21H2, 21H1, and 20H2. If you are experiencing unexpected symptoms with your Windows 10 computer and you suspect the OS is out of date, it may need an upgrade. Here are steps to check what version of the OS is running on your computer:
IMPORTANT:
If the version does not say 21H2, 21H1, or 20H2, the operating system (OS) is out of support, making the computer vulnerable. Please take action as soon as possible to get the OS upgraded. For assistance, please email helpdesk@business.illinois.edu
If a "Feature Update" to "version 21H2" is not being offered in the Windows Update & Security console, download and run the "Windows 10 Update Assistant" by following these instructions: https://answers.uillinois.edu/gies/page.php?id=116976.
