Adobe Document Cloud, Export Comments to a PDF

The Adobe Document Cloud platform allows PDF owners to collect comments from collaborators. Follow the steps in this article to export PDFs with all markup and comments included.

Open the PDF in Adobe Acrobat

Copy the shared link, top-right, chain-link icon

Open a web browser (Firefox or Chrome)

In the browser address bar, paste the shared link and go

Use the Download tool to download the file. On some browsers it will be an icon, on others it will be in the "..." menu

It is not necessary to sign in to Adobe, if prompted

Download prompt choice to sign in or download only

Save/Download the file

IMPORTANT: Before proceeding, close the original file in Acrobat

Locate the downloaded PDF from your Downloads location and open it in Adobe Acrobat

Select the "Comment" tool to see comments as a list along the sidebar

Save the PDF with a new name (i.e. "file-name-with-comments.pdf")

After you have verified that all comments are present, you can unshare the file from the Document Cloud.

Send the "file-name-with-comments.pdf" to anyone who needs to see the comments (i.e. development partner, F&S, etc.)
