What is Denodo Data Catalog and how to access it.
Denodo Data Catalog works with Denodo Virtual Databases. Data Catalog provides users with metadata about the data they have access to in Denodo. You can search or browse the catalog to find the data you need, and create, save, and share simple queries.
Virtual Database administrators can:
- Provide descriptions of their data assets – Data sets, views, and data elements.
- Assign categories and categorize their data assets to allow data consumers to easily find the data they need to use
- Assign tags and tag data elements for enhanced metadata management. Tagging data is used for data governance, describing data classifications, and data security.
Data Consumers can:
- Search the data catalog to discover the data that is available to you.
- Refine your search results through filtering by database, categories, and tags
- Execute queries on the data assets to which you have access.
Accessing the Denodo Data Catalog
The Denodo Data Catalog can be accessed through the Denodo Solution Manager home screen. Click on Open under Data Catalog to be redirected.
From the home page of the Data Catalog, you can discover new data resources.
