Jamf Migration Guide

A brief guide for iSchool employees using a university-owned MacBook or Mac Mini who have received an email from IT indicating the need to migrate to Jamf.

PLEASE NOTE:

This guide is intended ONLY for iSchool employees using a university-owned MacBook or Mac Mini AND who have received an email from IT indicating the need to follow these steps. If you are unsure if this applies to you, please reach out to the iSchool Help Desk at ischool-support@illinois.edu.

The university is migrating to a different endpoint management system for university-owned Mac computers. To remain compliant with university security procedures, all Mac computers need to be migrated to the new system before March 28. Tech Services has designed this process to be self-guided. iSchool IT is happy to provide support and answer any questions if any issues arise.

This process will take up to 30 minutes and requires you to restart your Mac so please ensure everything is saved before you proceed. Thank you for your help in ensuring device compliance with university standards.
