The interface between Chart and Appointments
The data from chart is used to provide individuals submitting appointment requests a list of cfops they can choose from when completing the funding section of a given request. The CFOP's included in that drop down will be those which match the following criteria:
1. the appointment request's supervisor is listed as an "owner", "user", or "viewer" of that cfop
2. the cfop has a status of "active".
There are no additional limitations on how cfops get listed in the dropdown (no verification of available funds, appropriateness of the fund type, etc). The chart data is not used in appointment beyond providing the convenience of being able to select cfops from a dropdown rather than entering them manually. Verification that a CFOP is suitable for a given appointment request is done by a give unit's business office. Once completed (via whatever business office processes are relevant) then a business office user of appointments can note approval of a cfop for a given appointment request.
