If you are authorized to use departmental printers from your Mac please use these instructions:

1) Open a request to your IT staff with the following information:
    Building name, what floor you are on, name of printer(s) if known.
2) When you receive the printer IP address, then on your Mac:
    Apple > System Preferences > Printers & Scanners > + > IP > Address: {printer-IP-address}, Protocol: Internet Printing Protocol, Name: {printer-name} > Add
