ATLAS Scheduler – View and Address Conflicts

Detailed below are the instructions on how to view and address conflicts in the ATLAS Scheduler app. These instructions are for users who have been granted staff access to the app. If you have been granted staff access and you follow these instructions, but it seems like options are missing or that the app isn’t working, it may be a technical issue. Email ATLAS at atlas-apps@illinois.edu for additional support if the guidelines below don’t answer your question(s).

Click Login and login to Scheduler using your AD Login/Password.

View Conflicts

To see if a request has a conflict hover over the “Requests” tab in the upper left-hand corner and click “View Existing Requests”.

Locate the request in question and click “View Request”.

If the request has a conflict, the following message will appear in red text, Event has # conflict(s) (scheduled) and # conflict(s) with tentative events

  • # conflicts (scheduled) - Amount of conflicts with previously approved requests.
  • # conflicts with tentative events - Amount of conflicts with other pending request

Address Conflicts

Edit the request to correct errors

Hover over the “Requests” tab in the upper left-hand corner and click “View Existing Requests”.

Locate the request in question and click “View Request”.

Click “Edit” underneath the Meeting Time heading.

Change information such as the date, start/end time, or calendar in order to remove the conflict.

Click “Update Meeting Time”.

Disallow the creation of conflicting requests

Hover over the “Administration” tab in the upper left-hand corner and click “Request Rules and Dates”.

Click “Calendar Selection Options”.

Deselect “Allow clients to choose calendars for events that may have conflicts” (the check box should be empty).

Click “Update”.

Now when making a request, users will no longer be allowed to make a request that conflicts with a previously approved request.

Deny Request

Hover over the “Requests” tab in the upper left-hand corner and click “View Existing Requests”.

Locate the request in question and click “View Request”.

Click “Cancel Request”.

In the drop down menu choose “Denied”.
