Learn how to use the Chat Activity. This is a tool that allows for a simple online conversation. Chat sessions are saved and can be made available for everyone to view or restricted to users with the capability to view chat session logs.

Frequently Asked Questions

  1. Will I be able to keep and view past sessions?
    Yes. Once you enter the Chat Activity, you will be able to click on "view past chat sessions" to see previous sessions.
  2. Can I import files?
    No. You will want to use Blackboard Collaborate Ultra.
  3. Is there a space where I can present/write on a whiteboard during the chat session?
    No. You will want to use Blackboard Collaborate Ultra.

Groups & Groupings

  • This tool can be set up to be used by groups. Each group will have their own chat window and chat history.
