Adding a Page
There are two ways to add pages to an OU wiki: clicking "Create" and typing double brackets.
Clicking "Create" to Add a Page
The first way to add a new page to an OU Wiki is to click "Create" at the bottom of the page where you want to add a link.
- Click on the OU Wiki activity link with the cow print icon.
- Under "View", click Create page.
- Type the content for the new page in the "Content" field, adding inline images or videos as needed. If you would like an attached file that does not display as an image (e.g. additional reference information in a PDF or Word doc), you can add that under "Attachments". Click Save changes.
A link to the new page will be automatically added to the bottom of the current page.
Typing Double Brackets to Add a Page
The second way to add a new page to an OU Wiki is to create a link by typing double brackets around any word or phrase in the wiki.
- First, click Edit or Edit page.
- In the "Content" field, type the names of the pages you would like to create with double brackets on each side of the name of the new page.
- Click Save changes.
- Click on the link for the page.
- A message will appear that reads, "This page does not yet exist in the wiki. Would you like to create it?" Click Create page.
- Type the content for the new page in the "Content" field, adding inline images or videos as needed. If you would like an attached file that does not display as an image (e.g. additional reference information in a PDF or Word doc), you can add that under "Attachments". Click Save changes.
