ATLAS FormBuilder - Reordering Form Sections
When constructing a form, it is often desired to change the display order of the form's sections, especially as all newly-created sections are automatically added to the bottom of the order.
The order of a form's sections is consistent across the entirety of the form's contents, and is not dependent on the phase. If a section is not present in a phase, the relative display order of all other sections present in that phase will be followed.
To change the order of a form's sections...
Step 1 - Navigate to your form's dashboard, and either click the Edit Form Contents button under "Quick Links," or click Manage in the header of the "Form Contents" panel.
Step 2 - Once on the Form Contents page, click the Reorder Sections button within the Global Settings panel.
Step 3 - You will be presented with an interactive representation of the form's section order. The section at the top will be displayed first, while the section at the bottom will be displayed last. Clicking and holding on the hamburger menu icon to the left of each section listing will allow you to drag them around.
Dragging the sections up and down, OR clicking their up/down arrow buttons will change their order.
Dragging a section below and to the right of another section, OR clicking the section's right-facing double arrow button will make it a sub-section of the section above it, and group the two sections together.
Grouped sections can be reordered as a single unit. Grouping sections does not prevent the sub-sections from displaying in a phase without its "parent" section, but if both sections are visible in the same phase, the "parent" section will always be displayed first. There is no limit to how many sections can be grouped together, and sub-sections can be given their own sub-sections as well.
Step 4 - Once you are finished making changes to your form's section order, click the Save Changes button.
Your changes should immediately be reflected in the form's contents and survey view!
