Policy
VMSC locums (Zoomed and Primary Care Services) will be given pharmacy permissions to perform all tasks able to be performed by faculty clinicians.
Guidelines
The VTH pharmacy staff needs to be made aware of scheduled locums and the dates which they will be working so that permissions can give given.
Procedure (if applicable)
- When a locum is scheduled for Zoomed or Primary Care, their name, NetID and dates on clinics need to be provided to pharmacy and IT by emailing vthpharmacy@vetmed.illinois.edu and cvm-helpdesk@illinois.edu.
- Pharmacy staff will provide Cubex/lockbox access, a DEA suffix and provide any necessary training on pharmacy procedures.
- IT will provide SANDI access with permissions matching those of other VMSC clinicians.
- When anyone leaves clinical duties, pharmacy and IT must be notified.
- When the locum is no longer on clinics, pharmacy will remove Cubex/lockbox access, and IT will remove SANDI access.
