Email, Google Apps @ Illinois, Sending as from a personal account

I wanted to send mail as an account from my personal account.

You have to have an Illinois Office365 mailbox for this to work. For people with an Office365 mailbox wanting to send mail as from their personal Gmail account, they can configure Gmail on the web to send via Office365.

We suggest you delete any old configurations and recreate them with the steps below.
  1. To open the wizard, click Add another email address in the Accounts and Import tab of Gmail settings.
  2. Enter your name and email address then click Next Step.
  3. In the Send mail through your SMTP server window, set SMTP Server to and Port to 587.
  4. Enter your email address and your password.
  5. Choose Secured connection using TLS and then click Add Account.
  6. In the last window, confirm the verification code sent to your account to complete the setup.
