Webstore, Eligibility requirements for Purchases
I get the error that I am not eligible to make a purchase when I try to purchase a software package.
Each WebStore offer has specific eligibility (student, staff, etc.) requirements that must be satisfied for you to add the item to your shopping cart. There are many different types of eligibility rules and offers can be limited to staff or students of a specific campus or even restricted to users who have purchased a prior version of the product from the WebStore at some point in the past.
Please email webstore@illinois.edu if you believe your eligibility authorization is incorrect or if you have additional questions about eligibility requirements.
The best way to determine if the customer is eligible for an offer is to Impersonate them and search for the offer. If they are not eligible you will not see the offer.
When assisting customers with questions about why they are not eligible compare the customer's membership groups in their WebStore account with the groups listed on the offer in the title section.
The customer must have a group membership that matches the offer in order to be able to order it.
If the customer believes that their eligibility for an offer is incorrect, please escalate the request to the TDX UIUC-TechServices-SoftwareServices-WebStore group.
