If your 'Install Application' step fails with ‘NotifyProgress received: 16 (Application failed to evaluate)’ in the smsts.log of your unit's task sequence, follow the steps below to repair the task sequence step.

University of Illinois IT Pros leveraging MECM, hosted by Technology Services' Endpoint Services team
Navigate to \Software Library\Overview\Operating Systems\Task Sequences\UIUC-YourUnit, select the respective task sequence and select 'Edit' from the top
Record the configuration of the problematic 'Install Application' task sequence step, including the 'Options' tab
Delete the old 'Install Application' task sequence step
Click OK to save the task sequence, then select 'Edit' to open the task sequence again
Click on 'Add' at the top and navigate to Software --> Install Application
Click and drag the new step to the appropriate location, and configure the step
Select the 'Options' tab and select the 'Continue on error' checkbox
